Ready to hit the road
the end to the proverbial soul searching.
Late in Damariscotta
been saying it wrong since we pulled in, but
on the last night,
staring at the moon refracted,
the problem with last nights is the change we associate with.

Back to normal in a week,
I won’t even remember I’ve been gone.
Except of telltale signs of pastels and northern accents.

That reminds of today
inside a tiny music store
wanting to buy a nylon Alvarez
until I had the epiphany

I have everything I need, I guess
Leaving the cottage I know at best
the summer will be bearable now.
Sometimes reality is a sobering thought.
