At 10am jumped into the waters that almost claimed me.
A tad sarcastically, I was fine last night doing my own thing.
A voyage across the lake, a pilgrimage to touch the landing
had to stop once or twice to listen to the “almost nothing.”

I really hated the cars
whose motors I could hear whirring
through the hills.
Is there anyplace completely silent, soundproofed?

I’m going to see the alpacas today.

My dad would’ve drunkenly held the lantern for me all night
waiting for me to come home.
